Unclaimed Property Search Kiosk Coming to Joplin
KSPR 33 Springfield Carrie Winchel Tuesday, July 19, 2011
People in Joplin will have an easier time finding unclaimed property starting Tuesday.
Missouri's State Treasurer Clint Zweifel will unveil a new Unclaimed Property Search Kiosk at Joplin's Department of Revenue License Office.
In April, Columbia became the first Missouri city to have a kiosk, and $20,000 has already been claimed there.
Zweifel will also award a small business loan Tuesday. Sign Designs was approved for an emergency loan within 24 hours after the May 22nd tornado. The company is staying in Joplin; this move will affect 18 local jobs.
Treasurer Zweifel will also be touring tornado damage and cleanup with the National Guard and hosting a small business roundtable while he's in town.
