Upromise surpasses hiring goals at KC service center
Friday, October 28, 2011
Increased business has helped Upromise Investments surpass its job-hiring goals at its Kansas City service center more than two years ahead of schedule.
The company, which helps service the MOST 529 college savings plan and other 529 plans, has 124 employees at its center at 2534 Madison Ave. That’s 44 more than projected when the office opened in July 2010, Missouri State Treasurer Clint Zweifel said in a statement. Zweifel toured the facility today.
When the office opened, it was projected to have 80 employees by the end of 2014.
Upromise Investments has about 300 employees nationwide. Its parent company is Sallie Mae, the educational service firm.
