Two KC businesses get low-interest expansion loans from state

DuraComm Lighting and Certified Safety Manufacturing have received low-interest expansion loans from the state of Missouri.

The Missouri Linked Deposit Program loans are designed to help entrepreneurs who are “driving Missouri’s economy,” said state treasurer Clint Zweifel.

DuraComm Lighting, a distributor of energy-efficient lights, will use its $870,000 loan to renovate its new headquarters at 6655 Troost Ave. Commerce Bank was a partner with the state in making the loan.

Certified Safety Manufacturing, a maker of first aid kits and components, will use its $150,000 loan to invest in new equipment and improve its building at 1400 Chestnut Ave. Enterprise Bank & Trust was the lending partner.
