On May 22, 2011, Reed’s office at 2902 McClelland Boulevard, which he had operated out of since 1977, was destroyed by the EF-5 tornado. The loan was used to purchase and renovate HEBCO’s new 7,500-square-foot headquarters at 4304 South Washington Avenue. The move brings five full-time employees, one part-time employee and plans to add five more full-time jobs to Independence.
