Ranking from Savingforcollege.com follows June 2011 enhancements

JEFFERSON CITY – State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) announced today that MOST–Missouri's 529 Advisor Plan has been ranked No.1 among all advisor-sold 529 plans for one-year performance by Savingforcollege.com. The ranking is as of December 31, and may be found here.

"Missouri’s partnership with Upromise Investments and DWS Investments is one of the premier partnerships in the United States," Treasurer Zweifel said. "I will continue to work with each to ensure Missouri families are receiving the best services as they save for higher education. As a father of two young girls, I know how every penny counts and today’s announcement shows that Missourians who want to use an advisor for their college savings have a top-flight Missouri product to use."

SFC’s proprietary 529 performance rankings are published quarterly and show best- to worst-performance results for both direct-sold and advisor-sold plans. The 529 Plan Composite Rankings are based on a comparison of the historical investment performances of a representative selection of each 529 plan's investment options. Plans are ranked based on the weighted average performance of seven asset allocation categories (100% Equity, 80% Equity, 60% Equity, 40% Equity, 20% Equity, 100% Fixed, and 100% Short Term) for the one, three, and five-year periods ending 12/31/2011.
